USA and LA Galaxy’s iconic forward Landon Donovan announced his retirement from football, from the end of the current MLS season, yesterday – and his manager Bruce Arena was clearly emotional when asked to pay tribute to the striker’s impact.
Donovan, who also played for Bayern Munich and Everton in Europe, has played under Arena for much of his career and clearly made a significant impression on the experienced coach.
