Morgan Schneiderlin Southampton 300x187

Joined with Arsenal and Tottenham all through the summer time, but Southampton stood agency and refused to permit yet another of their star players to leave. Jackson Martinez Porto Chelsea 300x187

The Colombian was joined with Arsenal at the start off of the summer time, and it arrived as a surprise when no Leading League club firmed up their interest with a bid. The Porto strike-man has a excellent objective scoring file, but was never shut to a shift, significantly to the delight of his present club.

eight) Arturo Vidal (Juventus)

The Chilean was concerned in the transfer saga of the summer, as rumours continuously connected him with a go from Juventus to Manchester United. Gonzalo Higuain Napoli1 300x187

The Argentine Globe Cup star was a single of the names described while Liverpool ended up searching for a alternative for Luis Suarez. The Swiss winger was joined strongly with Liverpool for the duration of the Planet Cup, with the participant seemingly eager on a move following increasing frustrated at Bayern Munich. The French forward was seriously joined with a go away from Actual Madrid earlier this summer time, prior to at some point signing a new contract. Did 1 of the Leading League giants, such as Arsenal – who are now determined for putting reinforcements – skip a trick by not generating a bid.

Manchester United were desperate for a world class defender this summer, but had been advised in no uncertain phrases that a go for Hummels would not be successful. Nonetheless, based mostly on their 3-five-two formation and recent struggles, definitely they could have completed a lot more to consider and force the issue, especially when you take into account the money they have invested elsewhere.

3) Edinson Cavani (PSG)

Edinson Cavani PSG 300x187

Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United have all been connected with the striker this summer, as he appeared for a possibility to be the primary guy at a large club. Nevertheless, an injury to Zlatan Ibrahimovic ultimately finished any chance of him leaving Paris this summer.

2) Sami Khedira (True Madrid)

Sami Khedira Angel di Maria Real Madrid 300x187

Arsenal and Chelsea have been believed to be battling for the German Globe Cup winner, with the Gunners particularly shut to creating a deal come about. It will be exciting to see the place he finishes up up coming summertime.

An additional name that was connected with Liverpool this summer season, as well as Manchester United and Barcelona. Male United Set To Make Sensational Deadline Day Bid For AS Monaco Striker Radamel Falcao

The Red Devils options up front could be limited this season with doubts over the fitness of Robin Van Persie.

Manchester United are set to make a sensational deadline day loan bid for AS Monaco’s want away front man Radamel Falcao.

Louis Van Gaal is set to make a move for the striker after becoming worried about the fitness of star striker Robin Van Persie. It seems inevitable that the Dutch front man will need surgery on his knee at some point in the season, meaning United would be without one of their main men for a large part of the season. In a worst case scenario, Van Persie may never return to his prolific best, leaving the Red Devils looking weak up front.

Even if Van Persie manages to stay fit, Van Gaal will need to sign another striker with Javier Hernandez set to leave Old Trafford.

Reports suggest that United have agreed to loan Hernandez to Madrid, with the deal set to be completed once the Mexican agrees personal terms with the Spanish giants.

It is also possible that Danny Welbeck could leave for Tottenham before the transfer window closes, meaning the Red Devils will need at least one attacking reinforcement. That could well be Falcao.

The former Atletico Madrid man has been desperate to leave Monaco all summer long and move to one of Europe’s top clubs. Although United aren’t in the Champions League this season, a move to Old Trafford would interest the Columbian striker as the Red Devil’s have the type of pedigree that Falcao is looking for.

Due to Falcao’s desire to leave Monaco, the French club are willing to let the striker go if a club pay £20 million for a year long loan. That shouldn’t be a problem for big spending United, who are desperate to add quality to their squad no matter what the cost.

While the Red Devils are not the only club looking to sign Falcao, they are fast becoming the favourites with Real Madrid, who have had a long term interest in the Columbian,  set to solve their lack of strikers by signing Hernandez.

QPR Hope to Sign Tottenham Pair On Transfer Deadline Day

Aaron Lennon Tottenham Loftus Road side chase White Hart Lane duo.

Check in to Manchester United vs QPR

QPR boss Harry Redknapp will hope to reunite with two of his former Tottenham charges as he prepares a late transfer window move for Sandro and Aaron Lennon according to the Daily Mail.

Having secured their first Premier League win of the season with a narrow victory over Sunderland QPR would do well to further strengthen their squad and Redknapp may just persuade Spurs to offload the duo.

27 year old winger Lennon started the opening match of the season at West Ham but was hauled off on the hour mark and hasn’t featured in either clash with QPR or Liverpool and could be a player Mauricio Pochettino could allow to leave as he seeks to trim his expansive squad.

Brazilian Sandro hasn’t featured in Premier League action at all this term and made just ten starts last season and has subsequently fallen out of his national team set-up.

A move to QPR could help revive both player’s careers though a lot could depend on how much Tottenham would demand for the pair, with a loan deal perhaps an option.

On Monday the 2014 summer transfer window will shut and Premier League clubs are still desperately seeking recruitment before deadline day passes.

For Arsenal this is no different and there are a number of players on their shortlist that Arsene Wenger will be hoping to sign. Here are the key targets for the Gunners.

Toby Alderweireld Belgium

Toby Alderweireld, Atletico Madrid

With Thomas Vermaelen having been sold to FC Barcelona in a £15m deal, Wenger needs recruitment at the back to bolster what is looking like limited options for the Frenchman.

Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertescker are a solid central defensive partnership and new £16m signing Calum Chambers has looked good since arriving from Southampton, but Alderweireld would certainly be a welcome addition.

William Carvalho Sporting Lisbon

At the start of the summer one of the key areas that many critics said needed to be addressed was in defensive midfield, with cover needed so the more creative talents could flourish.

As yet no one has arrived though, but this 22-year-old could be the ideal solution and is thought to be available from Sporting for around £24m, which could prove to be a decent price.

In recent times this Italy international has suddenly become strongly linked with the North Londoners, with his club president even admitting the 27-year-old could leave for the Emirates Stadium.

However, whether a new winger is really what Wenger needs with the likes of Joel Campbell, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott already at the club is another matter.

Mattia Destro Roma

Staying in Serie A and a striker who has been linked with a number of English sides, with Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho understood to be a big fan of the 23-year-old.

Destro could well leave the Stadio Olimpico and with Olivier Giroud out until 2015 due to injury, a new forward at the Emirates would perhaps not be the worst idea.

Radamel Falcao AS Monaco1

Another striker now and one with a bit more of a high profile than Destro, with Falcao considered by many to be one of the best finishers in world football currently.

Back to defence now and another centre-back that Wenger has his eye on to act as cover and competition for Koscielny and Mertesacker following the departure of Vermaelen.

Sokratis himself was meant to be a backup at the Signal Iduna Park last term, but due to injuries played 42 matches in 2013/14 and greatly impressed, but whether Dortmund would sell to the Gunners after drawing them in the Group Stage of the Champions League is another matter.
