A Christian Eriksen-inspired Tottenham put Sunderland to the sword with a 5-1 victory at White Hart Lane which all but condemned Gus Poyet’s side to Championship football next season.

After Lee Cattermole had handed the visitors a shock lead following Vlad Chiriches’ howler, the Dane set up Emmanuel Adebayor and Premier League debutant Harry Kane with pin-point crosses.
Eriksen then added a third himself, before Adebayor and sub Gylfi Sigurdsson rounded off the win with close range finishes.
