Two wins in their last four games have pulled the Hawthorns side to the brink of safety and if Mel is still at the club come the summer then he will look to bring in the 21 year old Costa Rican international, who he knows well from his time in charge of Real Betis where the Gunners man spent a season on loan in 2012/13.
Campbell has excelled with Greek side Olympiakos this term and may well be ushered into the Arsenal first team set-up but if Arsene Wenger still feel the skillful forward is still not ready for such a challenge then a season on loan getting used to Premier League life may be a sensible option to consider.
Arsenal signed Campbell back in August 2011 and Wenger will have been impressed with his displays with Athens side Olympiakos, helping the club to a Greek Super League title during an excellent season that saw the youngster finish the campaign near the top of the assist making charts as well as netting 11 goals in all competitions including a fine strike against Man United in Champions League action.
