Chelsea have launched a £10m bid for FC Basel winger Mohamed Salah according to the Metro.

Blues boss Jose Mourinho apparently sees the 21 year old as a replacement for Juan Mata, who is expected to join Man United.
Salah has been dubbed the ‘Egyptian Lionel Messi’ after impressing since his move to Switzerland and Chelsea know the player all to well as the goal-scoring wide-man scored in both encounters between FC Basel and the West London club in the Champions League this season.
Mohamed Salah, who has scored 17 goals in 27 appearances for the Egyptian national team, did appear to be on his way to Liverpool but Jose Mourinho are ready to fork out as much as £18m for the FC Basel man, and the chance to move to a Premier League title contender may trump a possible move to Anfield.
Mourinho appears happy to consider offers for Mata and has already cashed in on Kevin de Bruyne and forked out £21m to re-sign Nemanja Matic from Benfica.
