Reports in the English press recently suggested that the Uefa Europa League holders planned on persuading the high-flying La Liga outfit to part company with their prolific Brazil-born striker by offering the Spaniards highly rated young shot stopper Courtois in part exchange.

The Belgium international, who is rightfully rated at present as the best young goalkeeper in the world, is currently spending another season-long loan at the Vincente Calderon, the third campaign in a row that the player has spent out on loan win the Spanish capital.

However, with Courtois’s current contract at Stamford Bridge now set to run out on June 30 2016, there are growing fears at the Blues that the 21-year-old could now try and run down his present deal and then leave the club on a lucrative Bosman-style free transfer in two years’ time.

But Mourinho has now dispelled such doubts, and any rumours that a swap deal with Costa could happen this summer, by claiming: “ Courtois is our player. I can’t say anything about Costa.”
