The current Premier League leaders have been left to sweat it out over the in form Aguero after he suffered a suspected hamstring strain in the 5-1 mauling of Tottenham Hotspur earlier this week.

The fit again Jovetic bagged the side’s fourth goal on the night but is still being wrapped in cotton wool as he has only just recovered from an injury plagued first half of the season in England.

Blues chief Pellegrini came close to bagging Cardozo over the summer, but decided to make a move for Alvaro Negredo instead after leaning that the Sevilla striker was available for a bargain price of just £16m.

However, the Chilean still remains a big fan of the 30-year-old and has kept a continuous watch on the player’s form this season.

Cardozo has bagged six goals in 11 appearances this term, but has caught the eye of a number of European sides, including Spurs.
