Last night’s Liga MX final descended into farce.
In a league known for having awful referees, last night saw the worst refereeing performance in living memory in the Liga MX final.

The man in the middle totally lost control of the game, failing to deal with a laser pointer in the crowd who was shining it in the goalkeeper’s and manager’s eyes throughout the 90 minutes, sending off the Tigres goalie for a innocuous foul despite having already blown for an offside, and accidentally sending off a player from America when he should have sent off a fourth player from Tigres.
It is unlikely he will ever be allowed to referee an important game again. Is it possible that he was bribed by America officials?
