Many thought Paul Lambert was mad to leave this Frenchman out of his squad last term, but judging by N’Zogbia’s displays this time around the Scot was probably right all along.
6. Didier Drogba, Chelsea – 6.20
Blues fans would probably smart at the inclusion of their club legend, but in all honesty at 36-years-old Drogba is well past his best despite a goal against Man United this campaign.
4=. Matthew Phillips, QPR – 6.16
A real stalwart in the Hoops side when they were in the Championship, but doesn’t seem to be able to cope since coming up to the top tier.
4=. Rickie Lambert, Liverpool
Whilst at Southampton the 32-year-old was considered among the best forwards in the country, but since a transfer to his boyhood club the England international has struggled.
3. Gaston Ramirez, Hull City – 6.11
Was once the Saints’ club record signing and now can’t get a game at an underachieving Hull side who sit on the cusp of the relegation zone.
2. Marvin Sordell, Burnley – 6.04
The Clarets are admirable in the fact they have a good, young manager and refuse to spend beyond their means, but it also means they have to rely on players like Sordell and will therefore probably go down.
1. Darren Bent, Aston Villa – 6.02
Yet the statistically worst player this season is a striker who’s had an astonishing £53.5m spent on transfer fees for him over the years and yet is now on-loan at Brighton & Hove Albion.
