Arsenal are ready to offer boss Arsene Wenger a massive transfer war-chest in an attempt to persuade the French manager to put pen to paper on a new two year contract extension.

CaughtOffside understands that move by the Emirates Stadium board is also looking to appease the club’s fan-base, who are growing restless after seemingly seeing their Premier League title challenge derailed in recent weeks.

Wenger is ready to offload a number of his first team squad and will look to bring in significant additions to resolve ‘problem area’s he has identified and has the funds to mount big money offers to help land his primary target.

Julian Draxler Schalke

Having failed to land the German youngster in January the Arsenal manager is now ready to make a renewed bid and is ready to trigger the 20 year old’s reported £37m release clause but is open to offering forward Lukas Podolski in part exchange for the Schalke starlet.

Wenger has sent scouts to monitor Draxler’s return from injury and has been pleased by the glowing reports he has received since the end of February.

Draxler is likely to be part of Joachim Low’s 2014 World Cup finals squad and Arsene Wenger is keen to secure any deal before the tournament begins for fear that a good showing from the talented midfielder could drive his price up.

Alvaro Morata Real Madrid

The Arsenal manager has scouted the Real Madrid striker extensively and has been given encouragement by the Spanish Under 21 international’s representatives to make an offer for his services.

Morata has fallen behind fellow youngster Jese Rodriguez in Carlo Ancelotti’s pecking order, with the Italian already having placed his faith in his first choice front three of Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Wenger is ready to offer up to £12m for Morata, who has made just one La Liga start this season.

Wenger wants to add more steel to his midfield and is unlikely to offer Spanish veteran Mikel Arteta a new contract and may seek to offload the former Everton man this summer.

With Mathieu Flamini having turned 30 the Gunners boss is now looking to bring in some fresh blood and has been hugely impressed by the displays put in by Southampton midfielder Schneiderlin and will look to lure the former Strasbourg man to the Emirates Stadium and is prepared to meet the Saints asking price which is said to be in the region of £14m.

Seamus Coleman Everton

Efforts to tie down Bacary Sagna to a new deal appear to be stalling and with just months left to run on his current deal Arsene Wenger has drawn up a list of potential right-back replacements and Everton’s Coleman sits at the top of the pile.

The Republic of Ireland international is in the best form of his career and could be tempted by a move to a side that can offer him Champions League football though Arsenal will of course have to make sure they beat the Toffees in a race to secure a spot in the competition.

Arsenal are ready to offer as much as £18m for the attack-minded full-back.

Mario Mandzukic Bayern Munich

Arsene Wenger is keen to completely re-shuffle his attack and as well as questioning the efforts of aforementioned German Podolski the Arsenal manager is not entirely convinced of Olivier Giroud’s ability to be the prolific marksman he wants leading his attack.

Bayern Munich are resigned to losing Mandzukic, who will not be happy to play second fiddle to incoming Pole Robert Lewandowski, the Borussia Dortmund man having already agreed a move to the Allianz Arena, and the North London club are ready to offer £25m for the former Wolfsburg man.

Mandzukic has been a huge success since moving to Bayern Munich, scoring 44 goals in 78 appearances, but is seemingly set for a period warming the bench and the forward is said to be unhappy at the club’s decision to sign another forward.
