Tottenham Plan Move for Liverpool Striker

Fabio Borini SunderlandWhite Hart Lane side chase Anfield forward.

Check in to Tottenham Hotspur vs Sunderland

Tottenham are readying a move for loaned out Liverpool striker Fabio Borini according to Football Direct News.

The Italian international is enjoying his spell at Sunderland and may well have plenty of suitors this summer if Anfield boss Brendan Rodgers looks to offload the former AS Roma man on a permanent basis.

The 23 year old has scored six goals for relegation threatened Sunderland and will be looking for the regular first-team football he is unlikely to secure at Liverpool and may well be tempted by the prospect of a move to White Hart Lane.

The North London club spent upwards of £50m to bring in Erik Lamela and Roberto Soldado but neither player has impressed this term and with Jermain Defoe being sold to Toronto FC Tim Sherwood has been indebted to Emmanuel Adebayor, the only attacking option he possesses who has delivered the goods this term.

Liverpool paid £10.5m for Borini in the summer of 2012 and may well accept offers lower than price when the transfer window re-opens.
